- Rubbing alcohol - the solvent nature of rubbing alcohol does a great job in dislodging the green pigments from the stain. It is most certainly an effective tool in the cleaning service that you can use to remove grass stains. What you need to do is wet the stain with rubbing alcohol using a sponge. Wait for it to air dry thoroughly and use cool water to rinse. Proceed with some liquid detergent and rinse with water again. After air drying, the item should be set for your standard washing.

- Powder or liquid detergent - there is nothing wrong with using powder or liquid detergents to fight grass stains, but know that not every such product is very effective. See if the detergent contains bleach, as this has been proven as one of the best grass stain removal products. Start by directly pouring some detergent on the stain. Using your hands, make sure the product penetrates deeply into the stain. It needs to sit for 10-15 minutes after which time the item will be set for washing as usual.

- Mix of hydrogen peroxide and bleach - this is surely among the most effective tools you can use to combat grass stains. The only thing you need to remember is to use the mix on light fabric, as bleach can damage colours. The actual ingredients of the mix are ¾ cups of cold water, quarter cup of peroxide and quarter cup of bleach. Massage the mix gently into the stained area, and let it sit for a period of 30-60 minutes. Rinse and wash the item normally.

- White vinegar - if you are into natural cleaning solutions, this one might be just for you. White vinegar is among the best cleaners you can use, as it is not only multifunctional and safe, but also quite effective. You need to pre-treat the stain with warm water first, before rubbing the vinegar directly at the stain location. Wash it afterwards and see it go away.

- Laundry additive - there are many laundry additive products that you can effectively use against grass stains. The way to do this is add 1 cup of this product to a bowl of boiling hot water. Stir until the additive dissolves and put the stained clothes in the bowl for about an hour. Wait until they are cool and give them a spin in the washing machine as usual.
